Fashion Design
This class begins with rough form on paper and the building of a concept as ideas are turned into designs. The concepts of color, design, textiles and style are explored. Students gain an understanding of the workings of the professional fashion industry.

As a result of successfully completing this course, students...
Will be able to:
- Conduct research and develop inspiration for a fashion collection
- Design a well-balanced collection
- Complete a professional presentation of a fashion collection
Will be familiar with:
- Basic skills of drawing the fashion figure (croquis)
- Basic skills of rendering fabrics
- Basic skills of creating a moodboard
- Sources for visual inspiration
Will exhibit the following professional behaviors:
- Timely completion of all projects
- Ability to present work verbally to the class
