Fashion Design
This course will introduce you to the fundamentals of color, design, fabric, and style. In addition to the hands-on work, you will gain an understanding of the professional fashion industry. As your final project, you’ll complete and present a professional fashion collection presentation.
Course Syllabus
As a result of successfully completing this course, students...
Will be able to:
- Conduct research and develop inspiration for a fashion collection
- Design a well-balanced collection
- Complete a professional presentation of a fashion collection
Will be familiar with:
- Basic skills of drawing the fashion figure (croquis)
- Basic skills of rendering fabrics
- Basic skills of creating a moodboard
- Sources for visual inspiration
Will exhibit the following professional behaviors:
- Timely completion of all projects
- Ability to present work verbally to the class
